The Stockings were Hung

At least mine will be...
I received this very special Christmas Stocking and Gift Bag from my dear friend Pam,
and inside the gift bag was this wonderful wooden quick unpick.
Every time I use it I'll remember the many laughs Pam and I had at dolly club when I used to make her unpick her wobberly seams.
Thanks Pam, I just love it!!

Raggedy Station has a new name

Homespun & Beautiful

It has been an amazing and exciting 8 weeks since we relocated our business back to Jimboomba. Along with the move we decided change our name to Homespun & Beautiful as we felt Raggedy Station really didn't describe or tell the full story of where we are going with our business. More on that later...

We celebrated our opening earlier this month so I thought I would share a couple of pics....
Pam, Amanda & Georgia organised the special touches for our open day, thanks girls!!

Jelly Bean Count (456) was won by Leona who guessed 420 jelly beans.

Helen and Mary catching up.....

Helen and I are off to the Stitcher's Dream Day Out on Sunday, I'm looking forward to some time out. The theme this year is vintage and since we have attented every year we couldn't miss this one.

Might see you there.

Sarah's Xmas in July Ornie Swap

I joined Sarah's Xmas in July Ornie Swap, it is a down the line swap and Leanne is making for me while I'm making for Sarah. My parcel from Leanne arrived today but I can't open it until July 25th. Should I take a peek a boo - no no that's naughty, I'll just have to wait till Friday.

I hope Sarah likes what I have made for her. Sarah, I hope you get your parcel in time, I forgot you live is Tassie and it may take longer to get to you.

Raggedy Station is Relocating

Where has the time gone, it's been 6 weeks since my last post. Jeez, sounds a bit like confession!

I so pleased to announce that we are relocating back to Jimboomba. I found a lovely shop in the "Colonial Village" it is bigger, has room for classes and has a coffee shop right next door. What a great place to leave your husband while you shop.
Our store in Regents Park will close on Friday, July 25th and we will reopen on Monday, August 4th.

Our new address is

Shop 11, "The Colonial Village"
689 Cusack Lane
Jimboomba 4280
I pick the keys up today after work, I thought I would share couple of photos of what the shop looks like now before the move.

Where has the time gone, it's been weeks since my last post.
I've been busy getting ready for end of year which means stocktake and lots of sales. More news on that later.

My customers have also been busy so I thought it would be nice to let you see what they have been making. Laurel has been making for her grandchild, Barbara has been making bears and dollies while Doreen has made a stunning "French Braid" quilt for her bed.

Loubee Lou

I' ve started having "Get Togethers" on Mondays and Saturday afternoons where you are able to make anything you like. Some of the ladies are learning to make dolls (my cup of tea) so I like to have samples made to inspire them, especially nice to see things made from all the magazines we collect.

I have just finished making Loubee Lou designed by Annie Smith for Homespun No: 53 (Vol 8.10). Hope you like her.

Friendship Bolster

I have been making a few samples from the Rivendale Collection including this Friendship bolster. Nice and easy to make with beautiful results. Sally has released another six patterns - all just as beautiful.

Noah's Ark BOM - Block 2

This is my little block 2 from Lynette's free Noah's Ark BOM. I'm making this with Helen and her friend Lynda. I don't know about anybody else but I seem to spend an awful lot of time going through my scraps looking for the right piece of fabric - all for a tiny 3/4" strip. Must say I'm looking forward to block 3.

Sewing Keeper in progress
Melody
Helen and I have been working on the two doll patterns (Melody and Sewing Keeper)along with 6 other patterns we receive on our first Stitcher's Dream Day Out outing in 2006.
Melody is finished but I have been a little slow in completing the Sewing Keeper.....Helen, I promise to finish her over the weekend.
Melody is quite shabby rather than vintage, I'm really happy with her.

Friendship, Birthday's and Shopping

What a wonderful way to celebrate our birthday - we laughed, we shopped, we indulged and than we shopped again.
Teresa and I share the same birthday, so we decided to visit Country on Tamborine which Helen found a few weeks back. I was in Heaven, there was Prim every where I looked.
My Shopping
Don't you just love Tula Mae. Helen found her on her first visit knowing I would just love her. I would have bought everything but I thought I better share and besides Helen's boot wasn't big enough.
