It Takes Two

I've been bitten by the English Paper Piecing craze after seeing Joy's blocks for 'It Takes Two' quilt.
Today in-between customers, I prepared the 384 petals for the circles and the 228 pieces for the pieced borders. Instead of a light cream I have decided to go for a lovely blush background...coordinates beautifully with my collection of Antique Rose fabrics.

I don't expect to get my quilt finished any time soon but it will be a nice change from stitcheries while relaxing in front of the telly.
Pssssst! Don't tell the boss but I really should have been quilting my 'Garden Twist' Quilt instead of playing with papers.

Love Notes

I have just finished making two dolls called Love Notes, a wonderful pattern by Debbie Magee.
One lovely lady is for the shop and the other is going to the Beaudesert Quilters Biggest Morning Tea  to help raise funds for the fight against cancer.

25th Wedding Anniversary

Larry and I were married this day 25 years ago. I've couldn't think why my photos are dark...then I remembered we had a late afternoon wedding and the sun had gone down when we emerged from the ceremony. We were so happy...we still are, sometimes. lol.
At home, still single and slim.

Craft Extravaganza

Helen and I had a lovely day spending lots of money at this years Mother's Day Craft Extravaganza. The event is held is in support of the Tamborine Mountain Rural Fire Brigade and other charities, the hall is chock-a-block with lovely hand made goodies, just like these.

All the craft is well made and so well priced you just want to take it all home. Already looking forward to the Christmas Fair Craft Extravaganza in October.

Florence from Melly & Me

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts, I feeling pretty good today - must be all the chocolate I have eaten today.
I managed to get Florence finished yesterday...totally frustrated...I can't wear my glasses so I worked under a magnifying lamp. Just love her shorts they're so cool.
We're off to spend the afternoon with the in-laws so enjoy your Easter everyone and make it wonderful.

Hit by a bus

Well, that's what it feels like! I have a small sunspot removed from under my eye and another removed from from my forehead.

2 hours after surgery...not feeling to bad

Look like death in this photo
8 hours later, my eye is starting to swell and showing signs of bruising

Next morning I feel I have been hit by a bus, couldn't open my eye...bugger I was hoping to get a bit of stitching in over Easter. The plastic surgeon reckons I will feel even worse on Sunday, next week I'll find out the results of tests.

All this because of a sunspot the size of a seasame seed.
