A special day for Me

I have wonderful friends who make my birthday special every year.

On Monday, I got to share coffee and cake with Helen, Laurel and Mary. Unfortunately, Teresa couldn't make it and I missed her as we have celebrated our birthday together for the last 5 years or more.

Beautiful earrings and note pad from Helen.

Handmade notebook and vintage tin label from Laurel

and beautiful gifts from Jane on behalf of our online stitching group 'Friends in Stitching'
Thank you girls, you are truly wonderful.

Torn between the two

I haven't had much time for stitching lately, I have been busy completing a Certificate 3 in Home and Community Care.  Not sure which area I would like to work in the moment as I'm only three weeks into the course. I will  have 40 hours of work placement at the end of March and another 80 hours at the end of June. By then I should have good idea where I would like to work. Looking forward to see where it leads.

I've been shopping a Lynette's online store...I just couldn't resist these little cuties

I need HELP...

I can't believe I have so many quilts/wall hangings I need to finish.
Some have been hanging around for a long time...As you can see I loved Chookshed patterns.
These would have to be my favourite...
 as are these
Some quilts were shop samples
like all these Jelly Roll quilts
Some I will finish, others will be sold with backing. The scary bit is I have other unfinished quilts hiding away in cupboards as well as dolls that are in varies state of dress...now I won't mention all the stitcheries I have started. OMG...My name is Tereasa and I'm an addict!

The last of 2010

I haven't been able to view any blogs for a couple of months which has been so frustrating...DH has been home for the holidays and finally found a few moments to fix the problem for me...I have missed heaps but it's good to be back!

Operation aborted...what a headache

Mary, Helen and Teresa on our last get together for 2010....Teresa hand delivered my Secret Santa gift from Lynda, beautifully wrapped on the table in front of her. This is what was inside

A gift bag with yummy Christmas pudding and chocolates!
Lynda also made this fabulous sewing bag and needle case...I was blown away with excitement when I open my Secret Santa parcel. Thank you so much Lynda.

I was Secret Santa for Roseanne and this is what I made for her...'Keepsake'
a doll designed by Debbie Magee plus a Xmas panel.

From Helen, I received this stunning hand embroidered sweet box with choccies and scented candle.

and from Teresa I received a beautiful trinket box as well as...
